ZYB’s Mobile Community Evolution Reaches Milestone of 70,000 Users to Kick Off 2007

Mobile data company sees growth from zero to 70,000 users and almost four million uploaded contacts in just six months; strengthens management team for 2007

– ZYB, the company that brings mobile data to life, continues its evolution of the mobile community by reaching the milestone of 70,000 users to begin 2007. In just six months since launching in June 2006, the company’s user base has risen from zero users to 70,000 users using the free online mobile data backup service to “ZYB their mobile” and safeguard valuable mobile data.

“The realization of 70,000 users in six months marks an important milestone in our roadmap,” said Tommy Ahlers, CEO of ZYB. “ZYB is shaping the future of mobile data use by bringing mobile data into the online world and activating it in a social context. This is reversing the trend seen in the past few years, where mobile operators have been trying to launch online services to users’ mobile phones.”

In 2007, ZYB is building on its strong foundation in mobile backup and other “me” services, those services that have a value to you regardless of the other users, and expanding to offer a menu of “us” services that leverage the value of collective data to create a full online life for users.

Hurvig brings 20 years of experience in technology to ZYB, including holding 10 U.S. patents on world-changing products shipped with Cisco and Microsoft, where he worked as a software developer on Windows and Internet Explorer products. Klausbo is a specialist in digital strategy, business models and communication, with more than 10 years of experience. He has been responsible for one of the biggest online marketing/ digital solutions budgets in Denmark and led one of the most profitable business consulting departments in the Internet consulting industry.
